Updates

Every release, newest first
1.0.3Latest
  • Air rifle ownership now follows licensing guidelines for Northern Ireland and Scotland, including moderators.
  • Over 600 pellet/slug profiles.
  • Default pellet speed and ballistic information where available, with the full solve available on user generated data and chrono import.
  • Expanded chronograph compatibility.
  • Performance and reporting tweaks.
  • Resolved an inconsistency with Section 1 shotguns not adopting their slot correctly.
1.0.2
  • Geo-location improved - hunt calibre vs country reconciliation is now automatic.
  • Fine tuned the FAC/SGC admin functionality.
  • Fixed a dual-calibre allowance issue.
  • FEO notification process now embedded for rifle sale or acquisition.
  • Deer records: scan the carcass tag, note who issued it, hill and larder weight, where the carcass went.
Ammo data
  • New bullet data from eleven makers, Hornady shotgun loads, three new powder makers.
1.0.1
  • Testers: enter your reward code under Profile → Subscription for your free year, to 11 September 2027.
  • The subscription screen now says why it is not active - no subscription, Google Play unreachable, or a store problem - and labels the list prices as such while Play is out of reach.
  • Explore ammunition: All options open the whole catalogue without picking a rifle or a discipline, and list rows show only what you choose a bullet on, with the working in the tap-through.
  • Certificates. Fine tuned the certificate management flow and relevance for locale and your requirements.
  • Rank by no longer shows the current choice twice.
  • Hammer ballistic coefficients are marked as the maker's estimates, as Hammer publish them.
  • Duplicate rounds and calibres removed; .460 and .500 S&W under their Magnum names; Nitro Express spelt correctly.
Ammo data
  • New ammo data - Hornady re-checked against its own website: 12 bullets and 7 loads added.
  • Winchester Super Match - 16 loads
1.0.0
  • Subscription. Everything you have entered stays yours to read; a week's free trial, then a plan to keep creating.
  • Explore ammunition: pick a rifle and a discipline and get the ten best options, with your own results in that rifle where you have them, and a tap-through to find each round to buy.
  • Bullet data: dimensions and the maker's own drag curve can be recorded on any bullet, and the solution flies the curve when there is one. Lapua's Doppler curves are built in.
  • BC calculator under Ammo: true a coefficient from two chronographs, a Doppler string, a drop or a time of flight.
  • Scan the box first when adding ammunition, bullets, powder, primers or cases - a box you already hold fills itself in.
  • Lead run-out date on the ammunition card for lead loads.
  • Northern Ireland, Scotland and England & Wales certificates now follow their own rules, and air weapons are recorded with their energy class.
  • Harvest and cull records under Report tools, with a clays report alongside.
  • Every C.I.P. cartridge is in the chamber picker, with its pressure and dimensions.
  • The fixes and tidy-ups you reported.
Ammo data
  • New ammo data across the catalogue - every maker re-checked against its own website.
  • Wapiti - 14 loads
  • Virtus Precision - 24 bullets, Yew Tree Fieldsports - 16 bullets
  • Lapua - 15 bullets, 22 cases
  • Thirty-five more bullet makers for handloaders - 3,498 bullets: Cutting Edge, Lehigh Defense, PPU, Sellier & Bellot, Norma, CamPro, Sax, Fox, Hasler, Twenty-Nine, H&N, Ares, Reichenberg, WM, Sologne, Fiocchi, LOS, Steinbock, Wapiti, Swift, Woodleigh, Sako, Federal, Remington, Winchester, Hammer, Hawk, Berry's, X-Treme, Missouri Bullet, ACME, RMR, Blue Bullets, SNS Casting, Infitech
  • Reload Swiss RS14, RS76 and RS80 powders
0.5.01
  • Capture firing detail is live. Point the phone down the line of fire and it fills in your position, the bearing, the incline and the local weather - then hands the lot to the solution.
  • No signal at the range? It says so and moves on, instead of sitting there waiting. On a phone with both, the weather comes over mobile data while Wi-Fi talks to Zero.
  • New splash screen.
  • The app now opens in about a fifth of a second, where it used to take over four.
  • Opening the app no longer shows the last screen you were on before the splash.
  • Solutions can be read as a dial or as a hold - tap to switch.
  • Section 7(1), Section 7(3) and Section 58(2) antiques can now be recorded, with the designated sites for 7(3).
  • Section 7(3) outings record which designated site you were at.
  • Benchrest 25 added to the target library.
  • New session now sits at the top of the session list.
  • The back arrow no longer disappears behind a long screen title.
  • Barrel twist is entered as 1 : and a number.
  • Action lists now suit the gun - pistols no longer offer bolt or pump, rifles no longer offer revolver, and Automatic is there.
  • Rate the app.
  • Support has been reorganised - ballistics answers live under Range & ballistics, and certificates have their own section.
  • Targets: every face fits one sheet, and the FAQ says why.
0.4.24
  • Fixed: you could not change a rifle after saving it. Twist, barrel length, chambering, make, model, serial and action are all editable now. Thank you to the tester who found it.
  • Same unlock on ammunition - calibre, name, bullet mass and factory-or-handload can all be corrected.
  • Sight height is one measurement again: bore centreline to optical centre, typed on the loadout, in your own units. Bore-to-rail and mount height are gone.
  • Finished a load workup? Open the dev ladder and retire it. The charge steps leave the shelf and report as one "load development" line with the rounds used - no more columns of spent test loads. Nothing is deleted; your targets and assessments still work, and you can bring it back.
  • Reduced app memory usage and optimised code - the ammunition catalogue is now built once instead of being reassembled every time a screen reads it.
  • Audited load data - amended those that were incorrect.
  • Incorporated additional factory ammunition including new releases - running total now 4,240 factory rounds.
Ammo data
  • Hornady - 376 loads
  • Remington - 197 loads
  • Sellier & Bellot - 173 loads
  • Barnes - 40 loads
  • GECO - 37 loads
  • Berger - 14 loads
  • Lapua - 7 loads
  • Fiocchi - 7 loads
  • Magtech - 5 loads
0.4.23
  • Fixed: a session offering only one ammunition choice never registered it, so the session could not be saved at all. Thank you to everyone who reported it.
  • Fixed: usage graphs drew a flat zero for months when you did not yet hold the rifle - so a slot you had only just filled looked like a year of not bothering. The line now stops where the rifle does.
  • Fixed: in the activity report, a long entry could print on top of the next column, and a long heading over its own title.
  • Range is now Shoot - it is an activity, not a place. Solution and Shots sit under Range inside it.
  • New: Clays. All 18 CPSA disciplines, picked by family, each scored the way that discipline is actually scored.
  • Factory ammunition now carries its product line - Power-Shok, Deer Season XP, VOR-TX, Core-Lokt - and the catalogue can be filtered by it. Previously a load only showed the bullet inside it, so the name on the box was nowhere in the app.
  • Corrected published data for several Remington and Winchester loads found wrong during a catalogue audit. One was a materially wrong ballistic coefficient (.25-06 120gr Core-Lokt, 0.19 against Remington's published 0.362) - if you have saved dope for that load, re-check it.
0.4.22
  • Pick your region at setup - UK, US or Canada. One tap sets units, paper size, currency, date and clock. All still editable in Profile.
  • Remove buttons were invisible against the card - clubs, bodies and qualifications can now be deleted properly.
  • Activity report redesigned: cover page, your firearms and holdings, ammunition in and out, and a visit summary.
0.4.20
  • Factory BCs are now read-only - enter your own trued figure, kept per model and in backups.
  • Factory vs bullet-maker BC shown side by side - you pick, no silent overwrite.
  • Fixed Remington 7mm PRC 175gr Speer Impact BC (0.166 → 0.549).
  • Speer 22 Cal 55gr: dropped a G7 they don't publish.
  • Tighter checks on the bundled BC data.
Ammo data
  • CCI - 15 loads
  • Winchester - 1 load
